Junior Cycle – Learning Journey
There was a lot of misunderstanding in Ireland around the changes to the Junior Cycle in post-primary school. The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) commissioned us to create an explainer video that cleared up some of the misconceptions, and educated people about the rationale behind the changes.
We created this video from the ground up, starting with creative and strategic positioning, copywriting, storyboarding, illustration, voiceover recording, and finally bringing everything together in animation.
We also created a 60 second cutdown version of the video which was broadcast in the cinema.
It was a long process with many iterations, but NCCA were excellent in keeping focus during the project and incorporating feedback from all of the stakeholders involved. We worked hard to keep the video concise, targeted and engaging, while still editing the video as it evolved during the process of feedback and review.
We also did a Gaeilge version of the video (Irish language).
